CertificaTIONS

For over twenty years, Cantine Pellegrino has pursued a path of excellence by adhering to the most rigorous international standards for quality, food safety, and environmental sustainability. This ongoing commitment is reflected in concrete choices aimed at protecting the territory, using resources responsibly, and guaranteeing high-quality products for consumers.

  • EMAS (Eco-Management and Audit Scheme)
Since 2004, our Marsala operating unit has been EMAS-registered, the European standard that certifies our commitment to responsible environmental management.
  • ISO 14001:2015 – Environmental Management System
Confirming our focus on environmental protection, in 2019 we obtained ISO 14001:2015 certification, which ensures compliance with sustainable production practices and the continuous improvement of environmental performance.
  • BIO AGRICERT – Organic Production
In 2015 we obtained BIO AGRICERT certification, attesting to our commitment to organic production and guaranteeing compliance with strict environmental standards, including the absence of synthetic pesticides and fertilizers in our vineyards.
  • SOStain Sicilia and VIVA “Sustainability in Italian Viticulture”
Since 2022, we have adhered to the SOStain Sicilia production protocol, the sustainability program recognized by the SOStain Foundation, and to the VIVA certification promoted by the Italian Ministry for the Environment and Energy Security. Through these protocols, we measure and improve our environmental impact using four key indicators:
    – AIR (carbon footprint)
    – WATER (water footprint)
    – VINEYARD (protection of soil and water resources)
    – TERRITORY (enhancement of the relationship between wine and its place of origin)
The SOStain logo on our bottles allows consumers to verify our sustainability performance in a transparent way.
  • BRC (British Retail Consortium) – Food Safety Standard
The BRC certification, first obtained in 2008 and renewed with the highest “AA” rating, ensures that our production processes meet the highest international food safety standards.
  • IFS (International Food Standard) – Food Safety
Our production sites in Cardilla, Marsala, and Pantelleria are IFS-certified with an excellence score above 99%, confirming the high level of safety and quality in our wine production.

Our commitment to the future

Certifications are not a goal, but a starting point for continuous improvement. Every day, we work to make our production increasingly sustainable, respecting both the land and the people who live in it.
